Critical Notes:
- XRP and similar assets: Require both an address and a tag/memo (usually numeric). Omitting this may result in lost funds.
- Network matching: Ensure the withdrawal network (e.g., TRC20) matches OKX’s receiving network. Mismatches cause permanent loss.
FAQ
Q1: What if I send crypto to the wrong address?
A: On-chain transfers are irreversible. Always verify addresses before sending.
Q2: Why is the network selection important?
A: Different networks (e.g., ERC20 vs. TRC20) are incompatible. Sending USDT via the wrong network loses funds.
Q3: How long do internal transfers take?
A: Instant if the recipient has an OKX account; otherwise, refunds occur within 24 hours.
Q4: Can I recover assets sent without a memo?
A: Contact OKX support immediately, but recovery isn’t guaranteed.
Q5: Are there fees for receiving assets?
A: OKX charges no receiving fees, but the sending platform/wallet may deduct fees.
